SHELTER FOR THE NEEDY
Tabitha global care Uganda, has made a significant impact by constructing 16 houses in kayunga district (kawolokota village, Busaana village) and Mukono district in (nakifuma) for vulnerable families, predominantly headed by widows and HIV-positive women. These beneficiaries were
deprived access to their husbands land due to their HIV status, rendering them homeless with their children or orphaned dependents. Each family received a fully furnished house equipped with toilets, bathrooms, kitchens, utensils, mattresses, blankets, mosquito nets, bed sheets, and
beds. This initiative aims to provide not just shelter, but also dignity and security to those in need, ensuring they have a stable environment to rebuild their lives.
RUTH
Ruth had weathered many storms in her 89 years, but nothing prepared her for the devastating loss of her children. Left alone to care for her 13 grandchildren, life seemed like an insurmountable challenge. Their once vibrant home had become a place of despair and abandonment. Ruth herself suffered from a deep wound on her leg, its gaping sore exposing
bones and emitting a foul odor that matched the family’s sense of hopelessness. They were trapped in a cycle of isolation, waiting for what seemed like inevitable death.
Then,in 2017 a glimmer of hope arrived in the form of Tabitha global care Uganda. Moved by their plight, the Tabitha NGO took swift action. With the support of generous partners, they built a spacious five-room house for Ruth and her grandchildren. It wasn’t just shelter they provided; it was a sanctuary of love and care. The new home came equipped with an outside. kitchen, a pit latrine, and essentials like mattresses, bed sheets, mosquito nets, clothes, and plates for each child and Ruth.
The impact was profound and immediate. Ruth, once resigned to a life of suffering, saw a transformation unfold before her eyes. The wound on her leg began to heal with proper medical attention, and the children's spirits lifted as they settled into their new surroundings.
For the first time in a long while, laughter echoed through the halls of their new home. They now had a place to call their own—a beautiful life that seemed like a distant dream not too long ago.
Through the unwavering support of Tabitha global care Uganda and their partners based in Germany, Ruth and her grandchildren found more than just physical comfort. They found hope, resilience, and a renewed sense of purpose. Together, they embraced their future with gratitude and a newfound belief in the kindness of strangers who had become their steadfast allies in rebuilding their lives.
